Tania Smathers
Tania began working at Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital as a veterinary
assistant in 1990. There she
developed an interest in canine health and behavior. She completed
both agility and obedience courses with her dog, Sydney, a mixed
terrier. Currently she is training Crash, a Border Collie, in
obedience and herding.
Tania is the manager of Pet
Quarters, a boarding and grooming facility in Pineville, NC. She
makes her home in York, SC with her husband and daughter, four dogs,
three cats, eight ducks, one goat, and one fish!
A strong believer in continuing
education, Tania frequently participates in seminars and events such
as "The Dog's Camp," a week long immersion in canine
performance trials.
Tania gives back to the animal
world by teaching obedience classes at Ebenezer Animal Hospital. She
hopes to enhance the Human-Animal Bond through her efforts.
She also rescues and rehabilitates unwanted pets to place them in
loving, second chance homes.
