Tour
Our Hospital! |
| Built
in 1998, our facility made great improvements over the one
we left at the corner of Herlong and Ebenezer Road. Twice
as much parking, better access, and less traffic
congestion make coming to us more pleasant. Click Finding
Us for a map and directions. |
 |
|
| Located in the exam
room hallway in the receiving room, we keep a small
selection of our favorite hair care products, dental care
products, and other hand picked items. |
 |
|
 |
Our laboratory is
equipped with microscopes, centrifuges, and blood
analyzing instruments for immediate results when a pet is
very sick or for pre-anesthetic panels the morning of the
procedure. The door opens into our exotic animal ward, a
very quiet room far away from barking dogs. |
|
| The surgery suite
is jam packed with equipment and instruments to make
surgery as safe as we can make it. We can continuously
monitor heart sounds (amplified to be audible to everyone
in the room), blood oxygen levels (using a
state-of-the-art pulse oximeter), temperature,
electrocardiogram, and blood pressure. Two tables allow us
to perform scheduled procedures and do emergency surgeries
at the same time. |

 |
Examination rooms are a
comfortable size for pets and their families. Discussions
range from house training your new puppy to managing
complex medical situations. Costs of care and estimates
can be generated without leaving the privacy of the exam
room. |
|
| Our waiting room is warm and inviting. It
features friendly client care associates, separate areas
for cats (and exotics) and dogs, individual owner/dog
seating units, a children's play room, and a holding
kennelto place your pet in if it needs to be in a secure
place. |
 |
 |
For the convenience of our valued
clients, we have a well stocked pharmacy on site. The
pharmacy contains most of the newest and best medications
available. We have the capability of compounding (custom
mixing) medications to suit your pets individual needs.
Hate to give your pet tablets? We can change many items to
liquid suspensions that may be easier to administer. |
| This is an end view of our treatment room
where hospitalized patients are cared for. In the
foreground is a "tub table." This is a special
table with a rubber coated grate over the top of a shallow
tub. It is perfect for procedures involving lots of
water, like dentistry and ear flushings. There is a normal
flat table just behind the tub table out of view. Toward
the rear of this photograph are the ICU kennels, where
patients in unstable condition can be closely monitored. |

High level medicine cannot be
practiced without a good radiograph machine. This 2005
model feature automatic patient settings to reduce the
time nervous pets have to wait for the radiographs to be
taken. |
| Just like you would see
in a physician's office, an automatice radiograph
processor (developer) yields ready to read films in
seconds. |

| Shown to the right is a patient receiveing a
dental prophylaxis. In the last 25 years, we have come a long
way in pet dentistry. We now realize how important oral health
is to overall health and freedom from pain. |
 |
 |
Tucked away in the exit hall are our
prescription and all nature diets. High quality diets for
obesity, kidney disease, heart disease, arthritis, and urinary
tract disorders can be picked up here. Our Innova All Natural
diets are here, as well. |
 |
Since so many pets spend their vacations with
us, we have provided an exercise area for our play time
assistants to play ball with the guests (one on one). Shade is
provided for those very sunny days. |
| Most of the year, you are greeted by flowers at
the entrance. |

We love all the furry companions that come to
see us, but there are some that are extra special. Some of our
hospital pets, like Jake, meant so much to us. He gladly
donated dozens of pints of blood to save many lives. Good
manners and fond of attention, he was loved by all of us. In
the Ebenezer Memorial Garden to the left is his plaque, with
his likeness engraved upon it. The Garden is open to anyone to
place a unique tribute to the lives of their beloved
companions. |
