No matter how well you care for your pet, sometimes accidents or illnesses
occur during hours that our facility is closed. We provide our clients
access to emergency care 24/7 (24 hours per day/7 days a week). Just call our
main number, 803-366-1950. You will be given either a pager number to
access one of our doctors directly or a number to a nearby emergency
facility (Animal Emergency and Critical Care [AECC] 1-704-588-7015). If your pet cannot
be stabilized after an emergency, you also have the option of taking it to
the AECC facility for observation overnight.
Directions for
contacting the doctor's pager:
1. Call the pager
number with a touch-tone phone (does not work with pulse dial or rotary
phones).
2. When you hear the
response (either a series of beeps or a message), simply key in your own
telephone number using your phone's keypad. Then hang up. The doctor
should (provided he is not in surgery or in the car) return the call
within 10 minutes.
Directions to the
Animal Emergency and Critical Care Hospital:
1. Take highway I-77
north and take the Westinghouse Boulevard exit.
2. Turn left off the
exit and proceed to NC 49 (also called South Tryon Street). Turn right.
3. Proceed a short
distance to yellow-blink- ing light (Township Road) and turn left.
4. The AECC, also
called Carolina Veterinary Specialists, is 50 yards on the left.
