December 2014 Newsletter

What’s new? The latest and the greatest from EAH!
There’s always something new and interesting going on around Ebenezer. Here’s what’s new!
  • Our Whole Health Plan prices have been reduced! We’ve been able to work with our product and service providers, and as a result have drastically lowered the costs of our Whole Health Plans! Plans now range from only $25-$50 per month, and include outstanding preventative care for your pet! We not only offer the lowest priced plans, but we are the only hospital in the area that INCLUDES heartworm prevention as part of all of our plans – it’s THAT important. Check out our website for all the details, and, as always, call us with any questions! We look forward to providing your pets with the care they deserve- affordably!
  • 2015 “Peace, Love, and Rescue” Calendars are now for sale! Many of our wonderful clients submitted photos of their own rescued pets, and we were happy to be able to include all submitted photos in our calendar! Calendars are $15 each, and 100% of proceeds go to Project Safe Pet (www.projectsafepet.com)
  • Our groomer, Sheila, will not be available from January 6th through (at least) January 26th. Sheila is having shoulder surgery, and while we know all our wonderful clients will miss her, she needs time to recover and heal! When she returns her schedule will be initially limited until she can access her full capabilities over the month of February. Please be patient and plan ahead when scheduling grooming appointments!
  • Come see us in the Rock Hill Christmasville parade! We are excited to be a part of the parade on Friday, December 5th (6:30pm) in downtown Rock Hill! The parade starts on Oakland Avenue in front of Winthrop and runs to downtown/Main Street! So that our staff can participate in the parade, we will be closing at 5pm this Friday! Thank you for your understanding!
  • Our new floors are finally installed! Hooray! We’ve had quite a mess over the last month and are glad to have them completed!
  • Finally! Our new signage is being installed! It’s taken a while, but our new sign with the new logo is going up! Keep an eye out for great info posted as you drive by our hospital!
  • Tis the season!  Can you believe it? The holidays are upon us! Check out a great blog from Dr. Hreiz about keeping your pet’s safe around the holidays!

EAH Highlighted Staff Member – April!
Many of you know of April Splawn, but rarely get to see her in “real life”! April is one of our owners and is the Hospital Administrator of EAH, and is thereby responsible for most of the behind the scenes workings of the hospital!

April came to EAH in 2002 while enrolled in the School of Law at the University of South Carolina. She needed a part time job on the weekends, and that combined with her love of animals made Ebenezer the perfect fit! After graduating from Law School in 2004, and realizing that she had no real interest in practicing law, April joined EAH full time as the Hospital Administrator. The rest is history!

In her free time, April enjoys kayaking, hiking with her dogs, working puzzles, and traveling. She has a house full of her own rescued pets (5 pit bulls, 5 cats, and a rabbit!), in addition to the rotating door of foster pets that inevitably come through her home.

Next time you are in the hospital, ask to say hello to April! She always needs an excuse to get out of her office. 😉
