The latest and greatest from EAH!  What’s new??
  • We have expanded our office hours to better serve you! In addition to being open until 9pm on Mondays and Thursdays, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Stephens to Wednesday evenings! Worried that getting to the vet will get in the way of your working day? Never fear! See Dr. Marlowe Mondays and Thursdays, and Dr. Stephens Wednesdays! As always, we are open Saturdays for your convenience as well!
  • We will be closing one hour early this Saturday – September 13th (at3pm instead of the normal 4pm) to celebrate the wedding of EAH’s technician, Ramie! Congrats, Ramie and Ryan! We are so excited for you!
  • THANK YOU! to all of our wonderful clients and members of the community who donated for our August Back to School drive, benefitting Rock Hill’s own Children’s Attention Home. We raised hundreds of dollars in supplies to help children in our community because of your generosity! Congratulations to our wonderful client Ms. Labudski (and her pup Macy) for winning a free grooming as a result of her donation!
  • Check out our staff’s new uniforms! Our client care team up front is sporting polos, and the techs are in brighter colored scrubs – all with our new logo.
  • You may see a few new friendly faces around EAH! Please welcome our new team members:
    • Brooke is returing to EAH full time after 8 years away at a local specialty hospital. She is working as a technician and as our community outreach coordinator.
    • Kendal joined us this summer as a Camp Counselor! Kendal has a loveable golden retriever (Birdie Nicole) and a kitty named Izzy.
  • We’ve got a new blog entry up, courtesy of Dr. Lawrence. Learn about how different dog breeds came into existence, and what that means for the species… Check it out in our blog entitled The Tales of Fur, Feathers, and Scales!
September 28th is World Rabies Day!
Rabies remains a major concern worldwide, killing more than 55,000 people every year. In the United States, one to two people die annually, and there were more than 6,000 reported cases of animal rabies in the U.S. in 2012.World Rabies Day was officially launched in 2007, and aims to raise awareness about the public health impact of human and animal rabies.

What can YOU do? Vaccinate your animals and keep them away from wildlife that can spread the disease. Rabies is 100% preventable. According to Dr. Charles Rupprecht, chief of the rabies program at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Your local veterinarian plays a key role in controlling rabies.”  – That’s us here at EAH! Please ensure your pet is up to date on it’s rabies and other vaccines. Not sure? Give us a call at803.366.1950.

Would you like more information on rabies? Check out these articles about rabies indogs and cats.
