Dr. Mocanu grew up in Romania and throughout her childhood, she enjoyed rescuing and caring for all animals. When the time came to choose a career path, she knew that veterinary medicine is where she wanted to be.
Dr. Mocanu graduated in 2011 from the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, and practiced in an Emergency Hospital. Once transferred to Texas, her knowledge and skills were assessed over a 2 year period by Board Certified Veterinarians in order to be able to practice in the USA. Dr. Mocanu has been practicing in the US since 2019 and joined Ebenezer Animal Hospital in January 2022.
Dr. Mocanu is Fear Free Certified, Cat-Friendly Certified, and recently became Certified in Veterinary Medical Manipulation (Chiropractic Manipulation). She is passionate about Integrative Medicine, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and Critical Care.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with her family, 3 cats and 2 foster dogs.
